A 3.5 km hike along the Gorge Walk, following the Western Branch ol the Kiewa River, on Dec 1, 2016. This started at the Visitor Centre, at Mt Beauty Township. The route is signed, and crosses the river at a suspension bridge, then passes the remains of the old adit, which dates back to the beginnings of the Kiewa Scheme.
The track is stony in sections, and there is a height change of 131 metres.
An information board at adit describes the history of the region.
